First Name: Shanuva
Last Name: Drova
Nickname(s): Shan
Race: High Elf
Sex/Gender: Female
Age: 22
Class: Priest
Appearance: Shanuva stands at just over six feet tall which is average for a female high elf. Her silver blonde hair hangs down and frames her slender face. She normally keeps her hair down because she feels it gives her a more gentle appearance; however, often when researching, she likes to pull it back to keep it out of her way. Her blue eyes have a look of someone who has seen much in her few years. A gentle smile is often on her coral lips and shows the depth of her compassion. Her frame is slender, graceful which is usual for a high elf; however, she seems to carry herself in a bit more practical manner than most of the others of her race. She enjoys long flowing garments and usually wears an ancient metal bracelet that her brother found for her on one of his adventures. She has yet to determine its origin but finds it pretty nonetheless.
Personality: Shanuva is naive and inquisitive. She does well when engaged in research but has difficulty with large social interactions.
Backstory: Shanuva is the oldest child of Hanshin and Adela. Her father, Hanshin, was a wander merchant for many years; however, as he and Adela decided to settle down and start a family, Hanshin decided it was best to return to Allemantheia. Once there he set up a small shop a few months before Shanuva was born. Three years later, her younger brother Jansis was born. Shanuva quickly took to reading. During her early school years, she found an almost obsession with history and linguistics. By the age of 13, she already was knowledge in two long dead languages though not quiet yet fluent. It was in her 14th year that she began to develop an interest in religion. Her younger brother was in a fight with some human children who hated him because he was an elf. Jansis came home with a bruised left eye and broken arm. While the family was waiting for the local medic to come, Shanuva came home and saw her injured brother. As she touched him, there was a glow of light that emerged from her fingers that slowly moved over his arm. The pain faded. That was the first time that Shanuva had ever used her ability to heal. She felt glad that she had helped her brother and yet was conflicted. Here she had somehow used a magical ability and should go for training, yet she preferred historical research and had hoped to do that for a living. Her mother told her that she was still young enough to not have to decide everything all at once. Several months passed and the work in the little shop passed. Her father had a knack for finding buyers for the most strange objects; therefore many various oddities passed through his shop. One day, an adventurer sold him a strange looking book. He said that he had picked it up in an old ruin. Unfortunately, the adventurer could not read it, yet somehow he knew it was valuable. Hanshin did pay for it though not nearly the amount the adventurer wanted. Shanuva felt herself oddly drawn to that book. So one night after everyone else had gone to sleep, she decided to take a quick peek at it. She was still looking at it the next morning when the family woke up. While neither of the ancient languages she had learned was used in the book, there were enough similarities that she could make out some of the texts. This was an ancient book on religion. It was then that she realized that she could both dedicate her life to healing as a priest without forsaking her love of history. There were thousands of years of religious history that was unknown. Stories of the ancient gods that had been lost. Where were the keys that Lok hid? What happened to Karas? Would he return? Where did he go in the first place? What did the high elves in their exodus from their ancient homes? These things she could discover. She would discover them.
